If you couldn't get out of "Fahrenheit 451," what book would you like to be?
Hard to choose between collected works of Shakespeare, Good Omens by Pratchet/Gaiman, and Sexual Personae by Camille Paglia. Yes, I know, I cheated.
Did you ever have a crush on a fictional character?
Yes. Let’s not discuss it, shall we?
What was the last book you bought?
The Zombie Survival Guide—Max Brooks, Three Rivers Press 2003 I’m not proud….
What was the last book you read?
Trouble for Lucia” by E.F. Benson—the last volume of the brilliant Lucia series
What book are you reading now?
Ode to A Banker— Lindsey Davis--I blush to admit Sandy’s got me hooked on this bloody mystery series. Just this last one, then I’m clean, I swear it….
Five books you would take with you to a deserted island?
1- The Essential Rumi—translated by Coleman Barks
2- The Way to Freedom --his holiness the Dalai Lama 3- The Art of Happiness—Ibid—with a lot of time one my hands and being stranded, these two would help keep me sane.
4-All The Words-the Complete Monty Python’s Flying Circus—“Albatross!”
5- Lady Chatterley’s Lover—D. H. Lawrence—my vote for most moving gorgeous work of prose ever—if you’ve never read it, please treat yourself.
Three people you're going to pass this on to, and why?
Whitney--mostly out of spite (hehehe)
Lillian--because she always has the coolest recomendations
Delta http://deltaavidelta.blogspot.com/ my other blogging guru, destined to world domination once he irons out a few wee technical issues.....

Woody Allen wrote a short story in which a method for entering works of fiction was devised, and a gent has an affair with Emma Bovary--I think its called 'The Kuglemass Experiment". My own literary crushes occured in youth, and I received a fair bit of ribing about them--yes, there were more than one--guess I'm a read em and leave em sort of guy--lol

Woody Allen seems to be fascinated by the concept -- just think of "The Purple Rose of Cairo"!

I think it's normal for people to be always in and out of love in their teenage years. I was much more into books as a child, then as a teen it was music, and now my interest lays mainly in art. So my crushes were singers. If my "book period" had been in my teens I presume I would have had a crush on a book character as well.
